On behalf of the Killeen Branch NAACP, Happy New Year!

The branch ended with a bang, adding a total of 100 new members!  We are so happy to have our new Freedom Fighters who are supporting the cause!

The Killeen Branch NAACP will continue to be engaged in our community, diligently finding ways to plant seeds of knowledge, focused on Election 2012, and empowering those we come into contact with.  We look forward to Embracing Diversity through Community Partnerships!  Thank you to those who supported us in 2011 and will continue to support us in 2012!

Upcoming Events:

* Martin Luther King, Jr., Unity Service at Rivers of Living Water, Sunday, January 15, 2012, 4 pm.
* Martin Luther King, Jr., MARCH, downtown Killeen, Monday, January 16, 2012, 10 am, line up at 9 am.  MLK Program at the Killeen Community Center at 12:30 with guest speaker Mr. Rico Corporal, Assistant Principal at Ellison High School.
* Black History Month/Jubilee Program, Friday, February 3rd at 6:30 pm.  Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church, with guest speaker BG Barrye L. Price.
* Freedom Fund Banquet, Friday, March 9th, 7 pm, on Fort Hood.  For more information, contact Rosa Hereford - 254-634-5192.
